Whistling Swan Inn Voted Top 10 B&B/Inn in the US!
The Whistling Swan Inn has been named one of the TOP Ten B&Bs/Inns Inn by inn goers voting in Arrington B&B Journal for 2003.
Over the course of the past year, Arrington Publishing held a contest where inn goers voted on their favorite B&Bs/Inns among different categories. The fifteen winners in each category represent the finest and most luxurious establishments throughout the United States and Canada. The winners could place in only one category and they are listed in the category where they received the greatest number of votes.

Stanhope Area News The Skylands, or New Jersey Highlands, have been called ''the Yellowstone of the East,'' a North American rain forest, and the Garden State's ''last frontier.'' This is mountain country. Think deep shade, chill water, vigorous jaunts to breathtaking views: smoky-blue ridges, tumbling streams, forest-fringed lakes that are home to eagles, bears, trout, and cheery residents of 200-year-old villages and farmhouses.
Enjoy the beauty of the mountains in all their greenery. One of the most exciting places to explore is the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area. Located just 25 minutes from the Inn, it provides some of the best hiking in Northwestern NJ.
So come on up to the Whistling Swan Inn Inn and bring your hiking boots with you. Tell Liz what type of hike you are interested in and let them recommend something that suits you. Fortify your body with one of Liz's bountiful breakfasts and you are ready to experience some of the beauty and hidden treasures of the NJ Skylands region!
I have included a link below to a driving tour that you can start about ten minutes from the Inn. This tour through the high mountains of the northernmost portion of New Jersey begins in Newton.
