In the event of a cancellation, deposits will be refunded only if The Whistling Swan is given a minimum of 7 days notice prior to 4 pm on the arrival date of the reservation. If you cancel within 7 days, a fee of one night's stay will be assessed. Fourteen day notice for cancellation is required before holidays/special stays.

All cancellations, regardless of notice, will be assessed a $25 cancellation fee, per room.

Group reservations (4 or more rooms) must provide a minimum of 30 days notice.

Guests giving no notice of their intentions to cancel (no shows) will be charged the full amount of their reservation. Guests checking out earlier than the confirmed departure date will not receive a refund unless the room is re-booked.

Cancellations are NOT accepted by email or through a message on the phone; you must call and speak to the Innkeeper to cancel a reservation. In the event of a cancellation, a confirmation number will be issued you to - this number will be the only verification you will have.

* We understand circumstances arise requiring the cancellation of a reservation; however, as a small business, cancellations have a significant effect on us and the service we are able to provide. Therefore, we will offer refunds only when proper notice is given.

» Rates include our full buffet breakfast and are per room, per night.
» Breakfast is served 7:30 am - 9:00 am on weekdays, and 8:30 am -10:00 am on weekends.
» One night's deposit or a credit card number is necessary with your reservation.
» Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, and Discover are accepted.
» Weekly, monthly, and corporate rates are available upon request.
» Guestrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
» Rooms have iron/board and hair dryer.
» The Inn has central air conditioning.
» Check-in hours are 2:00 - 8:00 pm Monday-Friday and by 6 pm on Saturday/Sundays. Special arrangements must be made in advance for late arrivals.
» Check-out time is 11 am, promptly. Late check-outs are at the discretion of the innkeeper and must be arranged in advance. There may be an additional fee for checking out after 11:00 am
» Fire regulations do not permit smoking in the house. We do hope you will enjoy your smoke in the relaxed atmosphere on the front porch of the Inn. Guests smoking inside Whistling Swan will be assessed a $500 fee, plus cleaning charges.
» Children 9 and over are welcome!
» While we do love pets, we are not able to accommodate them at The Whistling Swan. There is boarding nearby.

Minimum Stays
Because there are so many sights, restaurants and shops for you to enjoy in the Skylands area in every season, we recommend stays of several nights. Our Activities and Calendar of Events pages on this Web site are helpful as you arrange your vacation. There is usually a two-night minimum required on weekends from August to October. If you book a Saturday night, you must book two nights during Valentine's Day, President's day weekend, May - October weekends. Sunday - Friday nights can be booked as one-night stays. Please call for single night availability on weekends, especially for October. Holiday weekends(ex. New Year's Eve) and special events may require longer stays.
