Dinner and Dancing on the Veranda- Saturday, September 16
The Whistling Swan Inn in Stanhope is presenting a community event with an old-fashioned summertime mood. The gracious Victorian inn at 110 Main Street in old town Stanhope is opening its beautiful wraparound verandah and gardens for dining and dancing under the stars! A buffet dinner catered by Lake Mohawk Country Club will be served at 6pm. Dancing in the private garden will follow dinner. Kathy Phillips and her three-piece band will be accompanying the dancers. The event is BYOB with soft drinks, coffee and tea to be served with dessert.

Fall Foliage Midweek Getaway
Red, yellow, rusts--the colors of the changing leaves. What a beautiful way to start a new season. This 2-night colorful package is offered midweek--Sunday thru Thursday. Included in your package is a folder for a self guided tour of the Skylands Region for antiquing, shopping, bicycling, apple picking and of course, leaf peeping. As the day cools down, enjoy a warm mug of apple cider and autumn sweets. Packages start at $159.
Bread Workshop - Saturday April 8
There is nothing better than the smell of bread baking or the taste of homemade bread. In this hands on workshop, we will guide you through the recipes for Liz's wonderful Cinnamon Rolls, and Sticky Buns.
Participants will learn how to knead dough and shape it into loaves and rolls. The class includes instruction with easy to follow recipes. Nothing says home like the smell and taste of hot bread right out of the oven. You go home after class with a loaf of bread, and the confidence and knowledge of how to do it yourself.
Small class sizes of four to six people give you an opportunity to get individual attention and get your hands in the dough. Scheduled classes are on Saturday mornings at 11:00 am through 2:00 pm. Attendance is by reservation only.
$25 per class, advance reservations are required and space is limited.
