Come and join a community event with an old-fashioned summertime mood.
The gracious Victorian inn at 110 Main Street in old town Stanhope is
opening its beautiful wraparound verandah and gardens for dining and
dancing under the stars! A buffet dinner catered by Lake Mohawk Country
Club will be served at 6pm. Dancing in the private garden will follow
dinner. The event is BYOB with soft drinks, coffee and tea to be served
with dessert.
The music will be Kathy Phillips and her three-piece band. The event is
limited to 40 people. For those who want to make a weekend of it, rooms
are available at reduced rates on an as available basis. Please contact

For the romantic at heart, The Whistling Swan Inn is offering the "Be Mine" package for romantic getaways in New Jersey.
It includes: $50 gift certificate toward a lovely dinner at one of
four fine dining restaurants nearby: Black Forest Inn (5-min. drive,
continental/light German); Barone's (7-min. drive, southern Italian);
Bell's Mansion (2-min. drive, walking distance, Continental); Bistro on
Main(3-min. drive, walking distance, Italian). A complimentary bottle
of champagne or sparkling cider, iced for your arrival. Also included
are roses in your room and chocolate-covered strawberries or gourmet
chocolates. Each night, escape to your favorite Whistling Swan Inn
vacation retreat, sip a glass of sherry, sink into your featherbed, and
fall asleep to a movie from our video library. For the Romantic package
please add $96 to your room cost.
