Holiday Events in Sussex County, NJ 2020

The 2020 holiday season is upon us and there’s no better time to plan a quiet retreat or a quick shopping getaway to Stanhope, NJ.   • Christmas Light Show and Village — Starting November 20 and running through January 3, the Skylands Stadium in Augusta will have a mile-long drive-through light show. After you enjoy the lights, make a stop at their outdoor village and winter carnival that offers carnival rides, seasonal treats, ice skating, and more!
  • Hopatcong Menorah Lighting — On December 10, at 6 p.m., the borough of Hopatcong will host a Menorah Lighting, followed by refreshments.
  • Holiday CraftMorristown — This event boasts an offering of “the most uncommon and extraordinary gifts for everyone on your holiday list.” It runs from December 11 – 13 and includes photography, sculpting, jewelry, home decor, ceramics, and more!
  • Hopatcong Christmas in the Park and Tree Lighting — This annual event is even bigger this year, with a tree lighting, Santa visit, as well as crafts, artisanal products, food trucks, and more! Make plans to visit on December 12 to enjoy this event.
  • An Old-Fashioned Outdoor Christmas Eve — The Waterloo Village United Methodist Church is hosting their annual Christmas Eve event, complete with hot chocolate, carols by candlelight, and a special holiday message.
  • Christmas Lights — If you’re just looking for a low-key adventure that is sure to keep you socially distant, consider going on a hunt for all the best personal Christmas light decorations around New Jersey. Many folks decorate their houses in such an extraordinary way that it rivals professional light shows! Make sure to double-check before you go that the listings are current for this year.
