This is not a hotel.

Hotels charge extra for the things we include by default. Hotels have front desks and lobbies and a version of hospitality that feels managed. The Whistling Swan Inn is a house - a 120-year-old Victorian with nine individually decorated rooms, an English garden with a working waterfall, a wraparound veranda, and someone in the kitchen every morning making breakfast from scratch.

Here's what comes with every stay.

The Rooms

Every room has been individually decorated with antiques and period furnishings - Victorian in feel, not in inconvenience. Private baths, pillow-top or feather beds, quality linens, flat-screen TV with Roku and Hulu Premium, and free WiFi in every room. Four suites add a two-person jetted tub, a fireplace, and a mini-fridge for guests who want more space or a more private experience. King beds are available in Walnut Valley Suite, Stillwater Mini Suite and Waterloo Village Room,

The Morning

Breakfast is made from scratch every morning and served in the dining room; weekdays 7:30 – 8:30am, weekends 8:30 – 10:00am. Stroll down whenever you're ready. There's always a savory option and a sweet one, plus fresh bread, yogurt parfaits made with homemade yogurt and seasonal fruit. If you have dietary restrictions, tell us when you book and we'll handle it.

All Day and All Night

The hospitality station in the back parlor runs 24 hours. Coffee, tea, soda, juice, snacks, and fresh-baked cookies - chocolate chip, oatmeal, peanut butter chocolate chip - whenever you want them. Some nights there are whoopie pies. We're not making any promises about the whoopie pies, but we're also not ruling it out.

The Grounds

An English garden with a waterfall and gazebo. A wraparound porch, a porch with seating that will make you genuinely consider extending your stay.

The Extras That Shouldn't Be Extras

Free use of bikes during your stay. Free and secure off-street parking. An electric vehicle charging station. Central air conditioning throughout. Hair dryers, bath amenities, irons and ironing boards. A refrigerator, microwave, and ice maker in the common area.

Everything listed above is included in your room rate. No resort fees. No surprise charges at checkout. Just the rate, the room, and everything that makes the Whistling Swan Inn worth the drive.
